Wavin Lake closure has been extended until the 15th of July 2018 because of the continuing extreme weather temperatures and for the well being of the fish stock. The committee will continue to monitor and take daily water temperatures and will review position late next week. The Delvin River remains open for fishing by Club members.
Inland Fisheries Ireland is appealing to anglers and fishery managers to voluntarily cease salmon angling on catch and release rivers with immediate effect due to high water temperatures and the current drought conditions. You can read more on this here.
